Dr. Katherine Mendez-Martinez has been a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner since 2015. She has been actively practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care for almost 10 years in a North Miami Beach Primary care office. Katherine is an expert in women’s health issues and nutritional supplemental health but treats various medical issues as a primary care nurse practitioner.

Before working as a nurse practitioner, Katherine worked for 7 years as a telemetry nurse at HCA Aventura Hospital. While working as a registered nurse, she became board-certified med-surg nurse with the ANCC.

Katherine’s educational background includes a BSN and MSN from Barry University in Miami, FL, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Florida International University. She is board-certified by the ANCC and a licensed autonomous APRN in Florida. 

Katherine is passionate about educating upcoming nurses and nurse practitioners. She currently serves as the educational chair of the South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses and has been a clinical mentor to many nurse practitioner students from various universities since 2016.

In April 2021, Katherine launched Jerimum Wellness, her telehealth business specializing in functional medicine. She aims to support uninsured and underserved patients, providing them with essential guidance and education to enhance their health, even without insurance coverage.

Katherine is currently the educational chair of the South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses.
